Pillows & Paws cottages is open whenever the government allows us! Be assured that we always offer for guests to move their break or offer a refund if affected by a Covid lockdown.

We closely monitor any new restrictions from the government and react accordingly. If the UK government adds a restriction for overnight stays in England we are duty bound to obey. This is our cancellation policy regarding Covid19:

We offer a full refund (outside 14 days of arrival) for any cancelled booking (we would prefer to move the booking instead though!) 


We will offer a full refund or to move your booking in the following circumstances (within 14 days of arrival): 

1. If you, a member of your party or normal household are diagnosed with Covid19 and can provide a valid positive test certificate 

2. If the UK government rules that overnight stays in holiday cottages are banned for the period of your stay 

3. If your region is restricted by a localised lockdown or imposes restrictions on non-essential travel. (We will verify using your postcode) 

We will offer to move your booking to a later date in the following circumstances (within 14 days of arrival): 

4. If you have symptoms of Covid19 but have not been tested. If moved, the booking does not offer a refund unless points 1,2 or 3 are satisfied. 

If you request that your booking is moved to a more expensive season, the difference in price will be applicable. 

We are proud that between March and June 2020 we successfully moved or refunded 100% of bookings. 

As many of our past guests will already be aware, our holiday cottages are self-contained. We have always conducted a deep clean between guest stays and will continue to do so. We also provide and advise the use of hand wash after touching or helping to feed the animals.

We believe that Puddleduck Valley offers the chance to escape to the fresh air and peace of the countryside to interact with nature, animals and the great outdoors.

Our cancellation policy remains unchanged as does our booking and payment terms of 50% on booking and 50% 14 days prior to arrival. If you need to change your plans please let us know and we will try to be as flexible as possible in providing options.

We are happy to work with you to reduce any contact with us or other guests at your request. We normally provide a personal welcome and bag carrying service. If you would prefer us to just leave a key in the door of the accommodation and reduced personal contact please do just let us know.

We remain confident of providing a great holiday for our guests and determined to do as much as possible to ensure that our guests are safe and happy.
As a small family business, we are at the mercy of the events unfolding around us. We truly appreciate the support of our customers and hope to be providing great countryside holidays for many years to come.
